Christina and Karl met at the United States Naval Academy in the Fall of 2023. They first bonded over their shared love of music in the Midshipman Orchestra, where Christina and Karl played the violin and bassoon, respectively. For their first date, Karl invited Christina to a swing dance held in Dahlgren Hall where they both soon learned that they had something else in common - two left feet! They have been inseparable since then, supporting each other through both highs and lows. After two years, Karl finally popped the question on October 26th surrounded by beautiful fall foliage. Following their graduation from the United States Naval Academy on May 22, 2026, Christina will begin medical school and Karl will return to the submarine force. They look forward to sharing their wedding day with their closest friends and family and are excited to begin their new lives together as a Navy couple.
